Lotus Flower

We were inspired to include the 'Lotus Flower' to our logo when we learned they are found growing naturally at the base of bald cypress trees in their swamp basin habitat,  With defining characteristics and qualities directly correlated to the core values and beliefs of our company, the "Bald Cypress" and "Lotus Flower" symbols make an ideal combination for our logo. With similar characteristics such as resilience, strength, and a long history, these symbols fully encompass the identity of Heartwood Wealth Management.   

The 'Lotus Flower' is an aquatic perennial with a life cycle different to any other. This flower is widely recognized among cultures for its symbolism of strength and resilience. 'Lotus Flowers' are also known for their beauty and varying features with a long history estimated to date back 145.5 million years. Deep in the murky swamp basins, these flowers begin in harsh and unpleasant conditions emerging unscathed from the muddy soil to reveal a beautiful blossom. Remarkably, the 'Lotus Flower' produces thousands of seeds that can germinate immediately or remain dormant for thousands of years just waiting for the right environment to develop a new bud.  These flowering plants are so resilient that even when the plant is destroyed entirely its seed roots can remain viable until more favorable surrounding exist to produce the next bloom. With extraordinary proficiency, the 'Lotus Flower' closes its buds each night to reopen the next morning with their pristine appearance untouched. This feat is possible due to their superhydrophobic leaves which protect their flowers by repelling water and debris known as the "Lotus Effect". The true beauty of the 'Lotus Flower' is shown through their ability to reproduce every season, every year, every epoch as a reminder that even the most challenging conditions are not necessarily a cause for unrest and may serve as a foundation for something beautiful to emerge.
